What happens if there is an accident?

In the event of an accident, please get a police report. Most insurance companies now require you to do so. If you have purchased any of our vehicle coverages, you are required to get a police report or all coverages will be considered null and void per the rental agreement. All customers involved in an accident are also required to notify American Car Rental as soon as possible and will need to fill out an American Car Rental accident report. American Car Rental reserves the right to refuse to provide another rental car to any individual involved in an accident, regardless of fault.
