Can anyone drive the car?

Up to three drivers may be listed on a contract as authorized drivers of a vehicle. These additional drivers cost $4.99 per day, per driver in addition to per driver underage fees, if applicable. Spouses age 25 and older may be listed on the agreement at no additional charge. No other persons other than those listed on the rental contract are legally permitted to drive a rental vehicle. If an accident occurs while an unauthorized person is driving, no insurance in the world is going to save the authorized driver(s) on the rental contract from having to pay for the full damages out of their own pocket. American Car Rental's Collision Damage Waiver only provides coverage to authorized drivers that are listed on the rental contract. A $50 surcharge or $4.99 per day, per driver surcharge (whichever is more) will be assessed to rental contracts where it is found that an unauthorized driver has driven the vehicle.
